We know that 257/256 gives us a remainder of 1 and moreover 257 is clearly not a multiple of 256. Therefore any power of 257(example 2572 or 2573) will leave a remainder of 1 when divided by 256. Consider the following case : –
61/5 gives remainder 1 and 36=62 when divided by 5 gives remainder 1 as well.
Thus 25798/256 will also give a remainder of 1.
